Our Journey
Divert360 is a woman owned and operated waste management partner founded in 2013 by our CEO, Candace Seger.
Candace Seger
With her background working on behalf of a leading national waste hauler, Candace identified a gap in the market: while haulers are adept at providing collection services, they often do not offer expertise in waste minimization strategies or guidance on sustainability targets. Clients needed an advocate to translate data into actionable steps, coordinate vendors, and ensure alignment with diversion and cost objectives. That insight inspired Candace to launch a company that delivered client-focused solutions, foster collaboration with service providers, and bridge the program design gap left by traditional collection companies. The company opened its doors as Corporate Waste Solutions.
As the company’s reputation grew, new clients brought diverse requirements: some requested comprehensive waste audits, others sought robust diversion dashboards, and many needed effective staff training programs. Rather than implementing superficial fixes, the company invested in understanding client needs, developing customized tools, and refining processes through continuous learning. Spreadsheets were replaced by advanced analytics platforms, ad hoc signage gave way to standardized educational kits, and a dedicated team of specialists succeeded the original solo consultancy model. The service offering evolved from basic contract reviews to a comprehensive 360-degree system designed to plan, operate, and enhance all facets of waste management.
The rebrand in 2025 to Divert360 reflects this evolution, a holistic perspective on materials flow and an enduring commitment to improvement driven by client feedback. Today, Divert360 manages waste programs for office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers across the nation. Success remains measured as it was from the outset: increased client diversion rates, reduced costs, and tailored waste systems that align with each facility’s operations. Every client’s advancement informs the ongoing development of Divert360, reinforcing the company’s dedication to progress and partnership.
